Capsizing
From Chemical Spill Response
A ship that has capsized, has listed so far that it cannot be righted by normal means.
Capsizing can be a result of a list due to instability. It can also be because external factors tilt the ship, like extreme winds in case of a sailing boat, or tilting of the ship because of incorrect alignment in relation to the waves.
