IBC’s
From Chemical Spill Response
Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC’s) are used for the transport and storage of fluids and bulk materials, their size and construction material depending on their intended application.
The most typical IBC has a metal structure with a HDPE storage tank containing the cargo, internal volume being just over 1 m3.
The basic structure of the IBC is similar to that of a pallet in size and design. Handling by forklift is therefore as for pallets.
